The above sequence of instructions is basically adding 6E(0110 1110) and 5D(0101 1101).

That is  0110 1110   +  0101 1101 =1100 1011

Auxiliary carry is carry from the last 4 bits(nibble) which is 1 in this case while carry is 0.Hence CY flag is 0 while AC is 1.
