while converting one to one relationship from ER diagram to RDMS, without total participation on either side, we can represent the relationship using primary- foreign key contraint without making a new table?? Am i right??

Yes you are correct. As you mentioned for one to one relationships seperate table is not required. But column which is common can be added to etiher one of the two tables involved. 

Only for many-to-many relationships and multivalued attributes a seperate table is requied. Refer this video link. Everything is explained very clearly in that.

Yes, you are right. We need to draw a table for multivalued attributes and many to many relationships.
