Some times it is given that memory cell stores one bit of information and some times one bit of data. Are these two statements same ?

Register store one bit of data and memory cell stores one bit if information ? Difference in two ?

Practically not any difference one bit means either 0 or 1

Register store 1 bit data and memory cell store one bit information means that when ever we talk about memory cell we consider group of register i.e 8 register = 1 byte of information

individually they are just o's and 1's but taken together they have some meaning
