Ethernet frame

Question

If the length of IPv4 datagram is less than 46 bytes then padding bits are added to it as minimum length allowed in ethernet frame is 46 bytes.

Question : At the receiver side, how to determine the length of actual data and padding? Any numericals related to it?

for recognising the end of data,we do bit or character stuffing which is basically putting End Frame Delimiter.when reciever sees this EFD pattern,he gets to knw that data is over now

Question : How to determine the length of actual data(excluding padding) using that total length field?

We can subtract the TL-HL (of the ip packet included in the ethernet data), since the padding will be done in options field , we can get the actual datagram length. Since the ip header is included in the frame itself extra bits can be added there.Am i right?
