yes, it's still holding M.E, if a resource has 4 instances it means there are 4 different resources of same type which are put together in one class.
For Example: There are four printers on the same floor in a company. Two processes can't share a printer simultaneously but they can by mutual exclusion, and Printer class has 4 instances.
