Solve this famous logic puzzle, attributed to Albert Einstein, and known as the zebra puzzle. Five men with different nationalities and with different jobs live in consecutive houses on a street. These houses are painted different colours. The men have different pets and have different favourite drinks. Determine who owns a zebra and whose favourite drink is mineral water (which is one of the favourite drinks) given these clues: The Englishman lives in the red house. The Spaniard owns a dog. The Japanese man is a painter. The Italian drinks tea. The Norwegian lives in the first house on the left. The green house is immediately right of the white one. The photographer breeds snails. The diplomat lives in the yellow house. Milk is drunk in the middle house. The owner of the green house drinks coffee. The Norwegian’s house is next to the blue one. The violinist drinks orange juice. The fox is in a house next to that of the physician. The horse is in a house next to that of the diplomat. [Hint: Make a table where the rows represent the men and columns represent the colour of their houses, their jobs, their pets, and their favourite drinks and use logical reasoning to determine the correct entries in the table.]

Given clues are,

1.The Englishman lives in the red house.
2.The Spaniard owns a dog.
3.The Japanese man is a painter.
4.The Italian drinks tea.
5.The Norwegian lives in the first house on the left.
6.The green house is immediately to the right of the white one.
7.The photographer breeds snails.
8.The diplomat lives in the yellow house.
9.Milk is drunk in the middle house.
10.The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
11.The Norwegian’s house is next to the blue one.
12.The violinist drinks orange juice.
13.The fox is in a house next to that of the physician.
14.The horse is in a house next to that of the diplomat.

We make a table where the columns represent the men and rows represent the color of their houses, their jobs, their pets, and their favorite drinks.

  1.Norwegian 2.$\color{red}Italian$ 3.$\color{red}Englishmen$ 4.$\color{red}Spaniard$ 5.$\color{red}Japanese$
Color $\color{red}Yellow$ Blue $\color{red}Red$ $\color{red}White$ ${\color{Red}Green }$
Job ${\color{red}Diplomat}$ $\color{red}Physician$ $\color{red}Photographer$ $\color{red}Violinist$ $\color{red}Painter$
Pet $\color{red}Fox$ $\color{red}Horse$ $\color{red}Snail$ $\color{red}Dog$
Drink   $\color{red}Tea$ Milk $\color{red}Juice$ $\color{red}Coffee$

From 5th and 11th clue we can conclude, The Norwegian lives in the first house on the left and next to the blue one (we can't take right to the blue one  So,we take left to the blue one).(Note: here next to mean is beside either to right or to left. )

Then using 9th clue we can conclude, Milk is drunk in the 3rd house.

Then using 6th clue we can say that either 4th or 5th house color is green and it's immediately left house color is white. So, there are two cases possible,

Case1: Suppose, 4th house color is green and 3rd house color is white then only two houses remain for choose color it's 1st and 5th.using 1st clue we can say that 5th house color is red and Englishman lives there then only 1st house is remain for choose color. using 8th clue we can say that 1st house color is yellow and owner's job is diplomat.then using 10th clue we can say that 4th house owner drinks coffee.then using 14th clue we can say that 2nd house owner's pet is horse. then using 2nd clue we can say that Spaniard lives in either 3rd Or 4th house.Suppose,he lives in 3rd house and his pet is dog.then using 3rd clue we can say that Japanese man lives in either 2nd or 4th house. Suppose, he lives in 2nd house and his job is painter. Now, only 4th house is remain for choose owner. So, using 4th clue we can say that 4th house's owner is Italian and his drink is tea but it's contradict because we already conclude that green house's owner drinks coffee. So, Case 1 is not valid.

Case 2:  Suppose, 5th house color is green and 4th house color is white then only two houses remain for choose color it's 1st and 3rd.Using 1st clue we can say that 3rd house color is red and Englishman lives in.then only 1st house is remain for choose color.Using 8th clue we can say that 1st house color is Yellow and owner's job is diplomat. Now, using 10th clue we can say that green house's owner drinks coffee.then Using 14th clue we can say that pet of 2nd house's owner is horse.then Using 2nd clue we can say that either 4th Or 5th house's owner is Spaniard and his pet is a dog. So, we suppose 4th house owner is Spaniard and his pet is a dog.then using 4th clue we can say that 2nd house's owner is Italian and drinks tea.then only 5th house is remain for choose owner. So,using 3rd clue we can say that 5th house's owner is Japanese and his job is painter.then Using 7th clue we can say that Job of 3rd house's owner is photographer and his pet is snail.then Using 12th clue we can say that job of  4th house's owner is violinist and his favorite drink is orange juice. Now, only 2nd house's owner is remain for choose his job then Using 13th clue we can say that job of 2nd house's owner is physician and pet of 1st house's owner is fox. Now, only two places are remain in the table i.e. 5th house's pet and 1st house's drink. Note:All result of case 2 filled by Red color in the table.

Hence, from Case 2, we can conclude that The Japanese owns a ZEBRA and Norwegian's favorite drink is MINERAL WATER.
