How do we get the size of micro-operation field as 9? Best answer 1 votes 1 votes parallelism is 2 so we divide operations into two sets of 16 and 30 so that requires 4 and 5 bits so total 9 bits Pooja Palod answered Sep 10, 2015 Pooja Palod comment Share Follow See all 2 Comments See all 2 2 Comments reply Abhishekcs10 commented Jan 27, 2016 reply Follow Share what about without parallelism...? it would be log2(46)..?? 0 votes 0 votes agoh commented Jan 22, 2017 reply Follow Share Pooja, could you please explain how the 2 sets of 16 and 30 are obtained? 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
0 votes 0 votes I understand 2 set of micro operations. Further needs clarification. We can take any two set totalling to 46 but their field width to be 9. Such sets may be 16, 30 Or 15, 31 Or 14, 32. . It needs clarification.
