Example What will be the values of log2(6729) ? how would one solve this in gate exam. Thanks! iarnav asked Oct 22, 2015 iarnav 2.1k views answer comment Share Follow See all 0 reply Please log in or register to add a comment.
Best answer 13 votes 13 votes Here is the demo of the on-screen calculator that GATE 2016 will feature. The notification for the above link can be found on the original website: http://www.gate.iisc.ernet.in/ Note: There are buttons for $\matrix{\log_2& \log_{10}& \ln& \log_y}$ The interface is point and click. (keyboard can't be used) The calculator has basic memory functions. (You should familiarize yourself with these. They will come in handy) It has a button for $\pmod n$ The calculator is a disappointment (made by TCS, what can you expect). Not all functions work intuitively. You should test it as much as possible before your actual exam, otherwise you will end up annoyed and frustrated on the big day. Note: This on-screen calculator has been enforced since this year. They tried the same last year but had to withdraw due to widespread student petitions.
