Merging states with a common core may produce Reduce - Reduce conflicts and does not produce Shift- Reduce conflicts in an LALR purser.

what do you mean by common core same grammer with different look ahead symbols how will it produce reduce- reduce conflicts i think it will not produce any kind of conflicts can u explain with an exaample
why do we say that lr parser compreses reduce and gives preference to shift in case of sr conflict
