What is a Sponsored Candidate? I have read that if a candidate has atleast 2 years of experience, then he/she is a sponsored candidate. So, is this supposed to be only relevant experience?

Furthermore, does it mean that the particular company that the individual is employed in is paying the fees of the candidate for M.Tech. If so, then what about a candidate who has left the job. Is the candidate considered as sponsored or non-sponsored?

With the required GATE rank, would the 4 year BS(Res) programme be considered equivalent to a BTech/BE degree? It is not explicitly mentioned on the IISc CSA website.
