Scalar (or relative cardinality)   of a fuzzy set is the sum of the membership values of all elements of the fuzzy set.

so here scalar cardinality is  0.1+0.6+0.4+0.7+0.5+0.6+0.9+1.0 +0.7+0.1 = 5.6

Fuzzy cardinality is again a fuzzy set.  When a fuzzy set A has a finite support, its fuzzy cardinality |Ã| is a fuzzy set (fuzzy number) defined such that

the no of elements >= least  membership value ( acts as alpha cut here) e.g  all 10 members are having there member ship value >=0.1 so 0.1/10 for first and 8 elements are having value >=0.4  so 0.4/8 and so on

here Fuzzy cardinality should be {  0.1/10, 0.4/8 ,0.5/7, 0.6/6 ,0.7/4 ,0.9/2 , 1.0/1}
