Its an AP series

Sum of series is given by

Sn=$\frac{n}{2}\left \{ 2a+(n-1)d \right \}$

300=$\frac{15}{2}\left \{ 2a+(15-1)2 \right \}$

a=6

so at first day man started eating 6 mangos

at 3rd day number of mangoes eaten is

t3=6+(3-1)*2

t3=10

He ate 10 mangoes on 3rd day

Let 1st day he ate n apple:

So, for 15 days:

n + (n+2) + (n+4) + .............(n+28) = 300

15n + 0 + 2 + 4 + 6 + ....................+28  = 300

15n + 0 + 2$\times$ (sum of 1st 14 numbers) = 300

15n +  0 + $2 \times \left ( \frac{15\times 14}{2} \right )$ = 300

15n + 0 + 210 = 300

15n = 300 - 210

15n = 90

    n = 6

So, 1st day he ate 6. And 3rd day he ate n+4 = 6 + 4 = 10

300 mangoes = 15 days

day 1 = 2

day  2=2+2=4

day 3=2+2+2=6
