Verbal ability weightage is 4-5 marks in gate. Scoring 2-3 marks out of which is not that difficult. So the point is about remaining 2-3 marks. Let suppose you prepared this section in 'T' time then ask yourself if you allocate that T time for technical portion , won't if have given you more marks than 2-3.
choose wisely.
I am not saying to don't do it , but there are higher priority topics too that can be more fruitful. what i prefer is to prepare verbal in starting says of your preparation and you may give your free time to it.(30 minutes a day).
make your basic grammar concepts good , you can prefer any higher secondary level grammar book.
