$\left ( x+y \right )$* $x$: this regular expression  is saying  $L$ is the set of all strings over $\left \{ x,y \right \})$ ending with $x$. So, it is excluding the ones which contains a $x$ but ending in $y$ like $xy$.

So, option $C$ is not generating $L$ but only a subset of $L$.
