TCP connections are full duplex. So, surely two-way.
But the sending and receiving ends don't necessarily send and receive at the same speed. Does that make the connection asymmetric? NO! Sender and receiver don't necessarily transmit at the same speed; that's the result of their own efficiencies. But TCP doesn't restrict or promote one side to send at a faster rate than the other.
Connections are symmetric!
It's just... the end processes have varying transmissing capabilities.
