we have to select Three different numbers, such that the product of two of the numbers is equal to the third number

2*3=6

2*4=8

2*5=10

so 3 cases

so probility = 3 / 10C3

3/120 =1/40

According to question ,Three different numbers are selected from the set X = {1,2,3,4,…,10}.There are only three possibility where we will get the product of two of the numbers is equal to the third  {2,3,6}, {2,4,8}, {2,5,10}.

probability that the product of two of the numbers is equal to the third (p) = number of favorable cases / total cases

                                                                                                                    = 3 / 10c3   = 3/120 = 1/40      ans
