1 length= 7 different code (only 0 or only 1 ... only 6 )

2 length= 49 different code (00 or 01 or 02 ...66)

n length= $7^{n}$ different code (you have n different position and each position can have 7 different values (0-6) thus 7*7*7..= $7^{n}$)
