Best answer 5 votes 5 votes {} = ∅, both are equal which is empty set . {∅} : it is set which contains ∅ as elements .. Comparison between ∅, {∅}, ∅ is subset of every set that is why it is called Trivial SubSet of any set. so ∅ ⊆ {∅} and ∅ ∊ {∅}. Cardinality of ∅ is 0 and that of {∅} is 1. minal answered Jul 16, 2015 • selected Nov 12, 2015 by Pooja Palod minal comment Share Follow See all 14 Comments See all 14 14 Comments reply Show 11 previous comments focus _GATE commented Jul 28, 2015 reply Follow Share {∅ } this can be treated as an empty BAG with one elements as ∅ means with cardinality one.?? 0 votes 0 votes Sanjay Sharma commented Jul 31, 2015 reply Follow Share yes cardinality of {∅ } is one 2 votes 2 votes vishal8492 commented Aug 2, 2015 reply Follow Share ∅ means nothing , but when you're saying {∅} , it's more like set containing element which identifies nothingness 2 votes 2 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
