Best answer 5 votes 5 votes {} = ∅, both are equal which is empty set . {∅} : it is set which contains ∅ as elements .. Comparison between ∅, {∅}, ∅ is subset of every set that is why it is called Trivial SubSet of any set. so ∅ ⊆ {∅} and ∅ ∊ {∅}. Cardinality of ∅ is 0 and that of {∅} is 1. minal answered Jul 16, 2015 selected Nov 12, 2015 by Pooja Palod minal comment Share Follow See all 14 Comments See all 14 14 Comments reply Show 11 previous comments focus _GATE commented Jul 28, 2015 reply Follow Share {∅ } this can be treated as an empty BAG with one elements as ∅ means with cardinality one.?? 0 votes 0 votes Sanjay Sharma commented Jul 31, 2015 reply Follow Share yes cardinality of {∅ } is one 2 votes 2 votes vishal8492 commented Aug 2, 2015 reply Follow Share ∅ means nothing , but when you're saying {∅} , it's more like set containing element which identifies nothingness 2 votes 2 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
