1 votes 1 votes A roulette wheel with 38 numbers is spun. What is the probability that in five spins the wheel never lands on either 0 or 00? What is the probability that the wheel lands on one of the first six integers on one spin, but does not land on any of them on the next spin? Best answer 1 votes 1 votes A roulette contains numbers 0, 00, 1,2..., 36. So for first question, every time, we have 36 choices out of 38. So $P=\left(\frac{36}{38}\right)^5$. In second case, $P=\frac{6}{38}*\frac{32}{38}$ Happy Mittal answered Jul 28, 2015 • selected Jun 23, 2022 by Arjun Happy Mittal comment Share Follow See all 2 Comments See all 2 2 Comments reply Hardik Vagadia commented Jul 29, 2015 reply Follow Share don't you think that for the first case, the answer should be (36/38)*(36/38)*(36/38)*(36/38)*(36/38) ??? 0 votes 0 votes Happy Mittal commented Jul 29, 2015 reply Follow Share That is what I have written, your expression is same as (36/38)^5 1 votes 1 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
