ok almost all of us solve this  by using 9! / 4! 2! = 7560

but bro they are asking different words so we have to subtract -1 becuase allahabad is also there in 7560   , so  7560-1 = 7559  what do u think ?

@sumit goyal 1 see, this is the question of permutation and combination where they will ask what are the different permutation of the given word and You have to find all those permutations possible, and the word given in the question is also a permutation of the given word, and whatever answer you calculate contain that permutation also.

So, they will ask you different permutations which in your case you have calculated.

Secondly,

 they are asking different words so we have to subtract -1 becuase allahabad is also there in 7560   , so  7560-1 = 7559  what do u think ?

No, you do not have to subtract 1 from your answer.

If they will say like this:-

 What are the different numbers of permutation of the word ALLAHABAD other then given permutation.

then, in this case, you have to subtract 1, because in 7560 permutations it is also calculated, So, to obtain differently we have to subtract 1.

But not in this case.

Yes yes true, when we talk about arrangement we count the word, and when we talk about rearrangement we exclude the given word. I will post another example from arun sharma, which will clear this concept.

in case of "re -arrangement" we have to subtract 1 not arrangement

Subtracting 1 means we are excluding that one given arrangement from the total no of arrangements.
