When some pages are referred more number of time, initially and then there were no references later, then which of the following page replacement technique will result in more number of faults?

A) LFU

B) MFU

C) LRU

D) MRU

Yes it is LFU but I didn't get the explanation from the link you attached.

in LFU , if every time you remove the page that has least frequency (less time process gets a need to access those pages), then initially it seems good like you're not removing the pages that have higher frequencies...but it's fact by analyzing data that if in future if your process never need those pages then LFU will give worst performance because it won't remove a page that is no longer needed...in that way it lead to higher page faults..
