Consider the following 16-bit format for normalized floating point numbers with bi as 15
image:g58.PNG
what is the maximum difference between two representable consecutive numbers.

  1.  210
  2.  215
  3.   25
    Explanation:
max difference = Largest number - 2nd largest number
    = 1.1111 1111 11 x 230-15 - 1.1111 111 10 x 230-15
    =0.0000 0000 01 x 215
    =2-10 x 215
    =25
  4. 1

 Can plz somebody explain this.??
