1) i think it should be 84 mins

2) let n-> total people, x-> people playing only cricket

0.6n - (T$\cap$C) = 750.......(i)

x + (T$\cap$C) = 0.5n..........(ii)

0.2n + 0.5n+ 750 = n  =>n=2500

putting value of n in (i) and (ii) and simplyfying you will get x=500

note: draw venn diagram, you will get what equation i have written.

I was confused with problem statement of first one :
Initially i thought its tap and leaking problem where in 2nd min its climbing up and slipping but its not possible because it needs complete 1 min in order to climb.
So using  that 4min->1m
80min->20m
then in next min its will climb and completes therefore isn`t the answer should be 81 not 84?

i also did as you, but in last step also i considered slipping, therefore getting 84, but i think it should not be considered...so 81 should be correct.
