Why? First of all they are asking that distance of A to host in 1.2.6*, and if we go through A to 1.2.6* then is it possible or not? Then they have given min dist of D to host of 1.2.6* = 2. (h) Now min distance of A-D =1. (because they are in a same network op =1) Hence by adding A-D-1.2.6* = 2+1 = 3. Hence if h=2 And A-1.2.6* (through D ) =3 then it would be present in the table (where A's next hop is is C currently) Hence h =2 not possible. 1 votes 1 votes Paakhi Vaidya commented Dec 8, 2017 reply Follow Share @Ashwin kulkarni Can you explain with some diagram ? Even i am not able to figure out ,how they are arranged in the network. 0 votes 0 votes yogi_p commented Dec 8, 2017 reply Follow Share @Ashwin Kulkarni What does Output signify in the Routing table, & how is it related to hop count ? 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
