It just shows that when we are operating over the very large area, bandwidth is not the limiting factor, it is transmission delay. 0 votes 0 votes srestha commented Dec 14, 2017 reply Follow Share it is asking for data rate but I am thinking what is difference between network data speed which is given 1Gbps and asking for only data rate What is difference between two? @ saxena0612 0 votes 0 votes saxena0612 commented Dec 14, 2017 reply Follow Share There is a whole complete network say in a city or town which is stretched to 4000km and operating with a bandwidth of 1gbps i.e $10^6 \ bits $ can be send over this line in this whole network now we took an instance of this whole network which comprises of some node say a small office in this town on this office the avg distance b/w any two nodes which share info is $20km$ .So now sending $1Kb \ packet $ on this network using fibre cable at what rate wwe should send this data so that the transmission delay and RTT delay should be same i.e when sender is just sending the next packet she should get the ack of former one! : This is what i extracted and solved in my previous comment! 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
