Question

Given a relation with five attributes and the following FDs:

A -> D

A -> E

DE -> BC

B -> A

D -> C

What is the highest normal form satisfied by the relation?

DE is minimal set of attribute. Can D or E alone be the candidate key?

 Mk Utkarsh  DE  dont qualify minimal criteria if either D or E are minimal  , then in that case DE becomes superkey not candidate key  , then we say waha pe D ,E are candidate key not DE , HERE     "DE " , A,B  are all different  so here we will not say A,B are minimal then DE will not be Candidte  key , Watch youtube gate instructor  video on candidate key then you will easily solve
