Which of the following is true?

Yes it is true.

Actually S1 is an advantage of using addressing modes. (Instead of directly specifying address using more bits we can provide address using addressing modes in less bits)

And S3 is also true. It gives flexibility to programmers to use pointers, counters.

it happens only in some cases (like Register) not for all type of addressing mode like Direct,Indirect...then
how can u say this is true....
