Question

What is the unit used for packets and the link in which it travels?

Following are the parameters used:

Length,distance,time,speed. Please help.

Transmission Delay :  Let's say you want to put L Bits or L Bytes onto the link then time taken(seconds) to do so is Transmission Delay and let's say the Bandwidth is given as B (Bytes/sec) then Transmission Delay becomes L/B (seconds)

Propagation Delay: Distance between Sender and Receiver or Distance between routers (Metres) say d metres and let's say speed for propagation is v m/s then Propagation Delay is (d/v) seconds
