(total)/50=30

total=1500

1500-35-40(because 35,40 descarded)=1425

avg=1425/48=29.6875

Total sum of all numbers=50*30

Now, we discard numbers 35 and 40

This leaves us with a total sum of (50*30-(35+40)) i,e., 1425

This is the total sum of 50-2 numbers

So, their average is (total sum)/(total numbers)= 1425/48= 29.69
