how many bits are required to represent decimal values ranging from 75 to -75

$\left ( 75 \right )_{10} = \left ( 01001011 \right )_2$

$\left ( - 75 \right )_{10} = \left (10110101 \right )_2$

8 bits are sufficient

Without knowing in which representation ( Sign Magnitude, 1's complement, 2's complement ) , how you give no.of bits?

i understand for this problem it doesn't shows any effect, but you have to mention it.
