2 votes 2 votes Port number is assigned by Transport Layer, so applications which uses services of transport layer will get port numbers. example : HTTP is application layer protocol and it uses transport layer (TCP protocol ) with port number 80. ICMP and IGMP are network layer protocols so they does not having PORT No. Dharmendra Lodhi answered Sep 1, 2018 Dharmendra Lodhi comment Share Follow See 1 comment See all 1 1 comment reply Nikhil Patil commented Sep 1, 2018 reply Follow Share thank you sir 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
