IN THIS QUESTION SOLUTION THEY ARE SAYING V=Y. I AM NOT GETTING THIS POINT

Though physical addresses of the parent address space is different from the child address space, but when we print the address on to the console, what gets printed is the virtual address of the process and not the physical address to which the process is mapped onto the MM, if the system is using virtual memory concept.As virtual addresses are same for both parent and child since the child address space is a copy of the parent address space, so V=Y, assuming that the system uses virtual memory.

At present, every system uses virtual memory except for very small embedded systems. So if nothing is mentioned explicitly, it is implicit from the context that the system is using virtual memory concept.
