Find the stationary points, maxima and minima

f(x)=|x+1|+|x-1| , -3<=x<=2

I think stationary point is where dy/dx=0

So, I said [-1,1].

Correct me if I am wrong

thanks. but i've one doubt. in the interval -1<=x<=1 why is f2 negative?

since f2 is positive when x>1 And in between -1<=x<=1  it is not the case
