Search Bars,There are three search bars on the site, which confuses the end user where to search what. They are :


 

We do not need this, it occupies screen space and increases page load time:

 

Members at the site should be just below the Chat:
    

+It will be great to see if some minimal version of text editor is used, instead of this current version

it takes too much time to load, and hardly anyone uses all of its features.
We just need to input text and latex.
Colors, bullets, font sizes, indentation, html code editing, DIV, find and replace functionality are superfluous.

All Categories area is extra, as hardly anyone jumps categories often, and if someone really wants, nav-bar has that option.

+Image Upload Speed to the server has increased.! :D

Search bar: The top 1 is only for gateoverflow, but I guess it is not very useful. I'll remove it.

Site stats, members display: shall do.

Category: Actually the side bar is the only way to choose "Unanswered questions" from a subject like "algorithms". Not a clean way, but that's how Q2A is. If there is an alternative I'll do this.

Text Editor: Was always on consideration. I'll minimize it or add user specific editors.

• -1 for Stats. It is standard across all forums, and for a good reason. Any user experienced with forums will first look at the stats before deciding to join.
  It seems to have been changed and placed at the bottom, which is perfect!
   
• -1 for text editor. I do think they are very much needed. Infact, an upgraded editor would be better.
   
• +0 for Categories. It is handy for new users. Also, leaving that space blank will not look good. Extending the main content's width is an option, but that raises issues with the android app. A better solution for this is much desired.

My suggestion is about Text Editor.

I think it is Ok and good when I use it on laptop. Not so heavy and I feel that all given options  are useful.

But while I am using in Mobile browser I feel that it is heavy.  I would like some lighter version for mobile browser if possible.

Note: I am not using on App. So I can't say about that.

yes. Actually just for image upload feature this editor is being used on mobile. Next month it will be replaced with something better.

For the editor:

• Ability to simply paste the image instead of having to save it on your local drive and then upload it. Saving on drive is a huge turnoff.
• Fix image alignment issues. (can't center align images).
• Fix image hyperlink issues. (hyperlinking images breaks the site)
• Remove Font, Size, color and highlight buttons, or make them harder to reach. People often abuse them.
• Fix text justification issues. Inline LaTeX somehow makes the whole line justified and inserts ugly spaces.
• Fix code highlighting. The editor shows highlighting, but once submitted all the syntax highlighting is gone and only comments get highlighted. Also, the list of supported languages is poor.

Google Custom Search creates a huge gap b/w the question title and the question body.
Also, it makes the entire page bounce coz it appears on the page in the end.
