With And and Not gate as well as Or and Not gate (because they are functionally complete) I can create any logic function. So why it says not necessary but sufficient and why not necessary and sufficient ?

NOR gate is also universal why it is not necessary but  sufficient why not both ?

Just lost b/w necessary and sufficient. Please clear me out here :(

Nor gate is neceesary but not sufficient

because,if Nor gate not available in any circuit, we can do similar work  with NAND gate too

Necessary means you should have it.

Sufficient means you satisfied it.

ADMIT CARD is necessary for entering into the GATE exam center but not sufficient, due to you require any other id proof.

So let me get this straight.

Necessary means you should have it and Sufficient means i satisfied it.

So in 1. using AND and NOT gate i can create any circuit so its sufficient but not necessary because if i do not have an AND gate i can create all circuits form OR gate as well. Am i right ?
