First, I found out the min. number of tables needed in 1NF. This gave me two tables R1(A, C) and R2(A, B, D, E, F). Now, these two relations are in 1NF, but the second relation violates the 2NF. So, I carried out simple normalisation procedure over the second relation R2. This gave me three relations from R2. Thus, overall, there are four relations in the final answer. 0 votes 0 votes saumya mishra commented Jan 26, 2019 reply Follow Share but if relation is 1:1 and total participation is there then also 2 tables are required for 1 nf as 1 table for (A,B,D,E,F) and other for (A,C) as C is multivalued attribute so there will be one table AC for that Is it Right ??? 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
