Ethernet is connectionless.Upper layer protocols(not all) like TCP establishes connection.Connection is implemented through software and connection oriented Ethernet is also there but by default Ethernet is connectionless.

Ethernet can be  Connection less. ( & IT cant be extended to connection oriented )

Connection-oriented Ethernet refers to the transformation of Ethernet, a connectionless communication system by design, into a connection-oriented system.

Though Ethernet itself is connection less, these are data link layer solutions (Which are not part of Ethernet like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.1ah-2008) which implement Connection oriented Ethernet.  As this solutions are not directly part of Ethernet standard, it makes Ethernet connection less. Answer is B .

When collision occurs , Frames are always retransmitted or are there chances for losing frames without sender's knowledge ?? Because a connection oriented service ensures for retransmission of Data untill it succeeds ..
