By Exponential Avg. Algo=0.5*10+0.5*0.5*4+(0.5)^2  *0.5*7+(0.5)^3  *0.5*8+(0.5)^4 *0.5*16=7.875

SJF Approximation
Can anyone explain how the SJF approximation algorithm works? I can see that it predicts the next CPU burst. But how exactly is it selecting a process with this predicted next CPU burst? Preemption is not possible with SJF approximation, isn’t it? here’s a screenshot from Galvin.
