In case of 1:1 relationships, when can we have a minimum of 1 table?

  • when both the entities have total participation
  • when atleast one entity have total participation

when atleast one of the side have total parrticipation,which includes your first case also

When there is total participation on only one side, don't we make two tables and add the key of the other table to the table on the total participation side?

When they ask about minimum simply combine all the three - two entities and the relation itself.
