Consider an instance of TCP’s Additive Increase Multiplicative Decrease (AIMD) algorithm where the window size at the start of slow start phase is 2 MSS and the threshold at the start is 1st transmission is 12 MSS. Assume timeout occur after transmission of 7th transmission . The congestion window size at the end of 12th transmission is _________ (in MSS).

What to take or new threshold

7 or 8 ??

I took 7 because if we implement we generally take integer (int)15/2-> 7
other reason is being safer means less threshold => less chance of TO or 3 duplicate.

Can you provide any ref for it or question on GO where ..its taken as floor() for new threshold ?

I didnt get this ..congestion in network depend on threshold.???.. threshold depend on network congestion right  ??

If the threshold is less then we will start growing linearly earlier... Growing linearly means we are trying to avoid collision bit earlier

is it correct to go directly to 12 in 4th transmission or not
