A public network is a network that does not limit traffic to members of a corporation or other group. The Internet(WAN) is an example of a public network.

The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) reserves the following IP address blocks for use as private IP addresses:

 

  • 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
  • 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
  • 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

Option A and D are invalid bcz they are out of range of an IP address i.e IP address each octet can range between 0-255.

Now option B is a private IP adress

Remaining is option C which is correct.
