Divide $88$ into four parts such as first part known as $a,$ second part $b,$ third part $c,$ and fourth part is $d,$ when $5$ is added to the first part, $5$ is subtracted from the second part, $3$ is multiplied by the third part and the fourth part is divided by $5,$ then all results value are equal. Find the value of $a, b, c$ and $d$ respectively.

  1. $7, 17, 4, 60$
  2. $8, 25, 5, 50$
  3. $10, 30, 3, 45$

a+b+c+d=88

a+5=b-5=3*c=d/5

a+5=3c => a=3c-5

b-5=3c => b=3c+5

d/5=3c => d=15c

a+b+c+d=88

=> 3c-5 + 3c+5 + c + 15c = 88

=> 22c = 88

=> c=4

a=3c-5 = 3*4-5 = 7

b=3c+5 = 3*4+5 = 17

d=15c = 15*4 = 60

(a,b,c,d) = (7,17,4,60)

Hence, Option A is the answer

a+b+c+d=88--------1

a+5=b-5=3c=d/5=K

Find value of a,b,c,d in term of K

a=K-5

b=K+5

c=K/3

d=5K

Put a,b,c,d in eq1 and you will get K=12

a=K-5=12-5=7

Similarly b=17,c=4,d=60

So ans is A
