consider a system 1 with frequency 4GHz, Utkarsh runs a program designed to sort the integer in increasing order takes 10s to execute on this system. Utkarsh is designing a new system (system 2) to run the same program in 6sec.if increasing the clock rate will require 1.2 as many cycles for system 2,the clock rate of system 2 is ______________GHz.

40 is constant factor right

So, (40/x)=6

clock rate 6.67

now 

clock rate will require 1.2 as many cycles

x*1.2=6.67

isnot it?

And is clock rate measured in GHz or freq measured in GHz?

This statement means the number of cycles in system 2 will be 1.2 times in system 1.

Clock rate and frequency are the same things.
