Why it does not depends on the no. Of subnet ? Means the total no. Of host in the network is the

No. Of subnet * No. Of host in a subnet

$2^{12}-2=4094$

$12$ bits are $0$'s in subnet mask so that many hosts are possible (Avoiding network ID and DBA)
