given x=5+2*sqrt(6)

we can write its as x=2+3+2*sqrt(3)sqrt(2)

so x^2=(sqrt(2)+sqrt(3))^2

x=sqrt(2)+sqrt(3)

so x-1/sqrt(x)

is 4+sqrt(6)/sqrt(2)+sqrt(3)

we will get sqrt(2)
