Effective add. calculated by adding the relative value to a program counter

EA= PC+ADDRESS FIELD VALUE

BASE ADD. MODE - WHEN THE TARGET INSTRUCTION PRESENT IN DIFFERENT SEGMENT THEN DURING THE PROGRAM EXECUTION, CONTROL WILL TRANSFER B/W  THE SEGMENT CALLED AS INTER-SEGMENT,

EFFECTIVE ADD.= [BASE REG] + ADD. FIELD
