Consider a system employing interrupt driven IO for a particular device that transfer data at a rate of 8KB/sec continuously. Consider interrupt processing time about 100 microsec. The fraction of processor time consumed by this IO if interrupt  occurs on every byte is ______?

1 byte is transferred in 125 microsec

But my doubt is that whether the required ans should be 100/125 or 100/(100+125)

Tha answer given was the former one... why it is not the case as of latter.

Because it simply means , in every 125 microseconds , processor is being used for 100 microseconds.
