Question

A token bucket scheme is used for traffic shaping. A new token is put into the bucket
every 5 μsec. Each token is good for one short packet, which contains 48 bytes of
data. What is the maximum sustainable data rate?

=$\frac{384}{5}*10^6$

=76.8 Mega bits per sec

Comments

In 5* 10^-6 sec -------> 1 token (48 Bytes of data)

so in 

5 sec ----->  48 * 10^6 Bytes

1 sec ---- > 48/5 MB

so its 9.6 MBps
