4 votes 4 votes As the Name suggest RTT = Round Trip Time means Total time to travel one round(from sender to the Receiver and again Receiver to the Sender). So it doesn't depend on either the link is Simplex or full duplex. It will be always 2*Propagation delay Abhishek_Kumar answered Dec 19, 2015 Abhishek_Kumar comment Share Follow See all 3 Comments See all 3 3 Comments reply Archies09 commented Jun 20, 2016 reply Follow Share for RTT,Link has to be full duplex 0 votes 0 votes cse23 commented Jun 20, 2016 reply Follow Share why??? tp is the time taken by frame to cover the link and when ack comes back for that frame then it is totally 2tp which is RTT. Link can be anything.. 0 votes 0 votes Archies09 commented Jun 21, 2016 reply Follow Share ok I was in a misconception about simplex and half duplex but both are same , now got it thanks.
